I had an incredible contact with those I call the survivors of this cruel world, the pleasure of being able to photograph, live and put myself in their shoes was simply an experience that I will never forget, this is definitely reflected in my work.

My subject was the addiction to cigarettes, but I think I went beyond what my teacher asked me, it was so intimate and deep that there were many things that I did not photograph and that I will not write in this text for a matter of respect and loyalty, more than an addiction, there is something more worrying behind each image, The blows of life and the decisions that these characters have taken, have transformed the situation of explaining to them that they are doing something wrong into an impossible attempt, unfortunately they hide and take refuge in drugs as a last resort, and I feel that, on this occasion, I am not the one to judge them. I lost track of many, probably each protagonist has a new scenario or simply a more difficult role to play in their own way and lifestyle, however, I want to thank infinitely that they have opened the doors of their temporary home and that in some way or another they had the confidence to show me who they really are.
